Is This Love?
Is love that lasts for a lifetime
better or worse than...
Love that lasts for a minute.
For in that minute, that special
moment....two souls can connect
....forever.
Is it love when two hearts collide,
but circumstances parlayed by destiny
keep them apart, wondering.
Is it love and illusion..always only in the mind,
each playing roles, having needs
which they try to play out for the other?
Is passion the true test of love?......And,
when that is gone...what is the test..
that continues the trust.
Is it committment then,
the working on relationships, caring
with tenderness of wants, needs.
Is true love determined by unearthly boundaries
karmic ties, pulling one to the other
only for lessons, finishing old debts.
Is it in the act of communication,
and act of sharing in love,
an action requiring communication
towards expanding that love?
Is is love....when your thoughts are
continually taken up by the other
....and nothing will satisfy that longing.
And when the newness wears off....
What then is love?
Is there such thing as true love, for...
if there is, then there would also
have to be false love....and
Who, or what determines the difference?
And, is there any love imagined,
or real.....that is more magical
more wonderful than the other?
I wonder..........is this love?

Before You
Before you I stopped believing,
stopped hoping...
all my dreams gone bad.
My heart cried in disbelief,
romantic illusions gone..
a golden leaf,
tossed in the wind
on a stormy day.
Before you....my life
seemed endless,
no meaning
as I existed in a dream
awaiting the finale
to a sorrowful play.
Before you, a song
was only a melody
sung...
with empty words,
from empty faces...
searching for their loves.
Before your magic
touched my life,
I wandered, looking
into each face,
trying not to look....not to want,
failing time after time,
tears sliding
into space.
Before you,
endless waiting stretched out
like a desert with no water,
mirages tempting..
making me crawl
only to find illusions.
And then,
you slipped into my life,
so quietly,
so comfortably..
it seemed you had always been here,
and in one magic moment
time stood still...
the sun shown thousands of times brighter,
and we rode the skies,
floated with the breeze,
rolled with the waves..
played on the moon
and loved until there was
no tomorrow....
and I forgot what it was like
......before you.

Isn't this
how it begins for many of us? Somehow we have stepped into that magical
world in which we really feel, really believe that love stories can be
true, that we can find the one of our dreams, and then......reality steps
in, heels cool, we find that we have different lifestyles, different
beliefs, different backgrounds and it is so very hard to mesh it all
together in a respectful manner, and still hold to that feeling of love,
giving, forgiving and allowing each one to be their own persons. Then the
real tests of relationships begins, can we do it? Can we make it? Where do
we go from here and is it worth our time and trouble?
One person
said, it is not how much you like the other, it is how much you like
yourself when you are with the other. Oh how true. If you find yourself
uncomfortable with the other all the time, or that you are critical, or
mean or sad, then it is time to re-examine the relationship for both, as
it is clearly not a nourishing one anymore.
The world gets crazier and crazier everyday, doesn't it? The world that many
of us thought was there, isn't. The bottom has dropped out of everything. The
illusions have been revealed, we have found out who has been pulling the strings
behind the scenes. Millions have lost their jobs, have mortgage
problems, and
foreclosure. What can be done? Amazingly, we have been mislead. We have been
taught that we can control government by voting. The founder of the Rothschild
dynasty, Mayer Amschel Bauer, told the secret of controlling the government
of a nation over 200 years ago. He said, "Permit
me to issue and control the money of a nation and I care not who makes its
laws." Get
the picture? Your freedom hinges first on the nation's banks and money system.
