Resistance bomb west of al-Qa'im kills four US troops. An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column made up of four Humvees as it passed through the neighborhood of al-Fusfat west of al-Qa'im on the border with Syria. One Humvee was destroyed and four American troops were killed instantly in the attack, the local correspondent of Mafkarat al-Islam reported. Hit. Resistance bomb targets US Marine column in Hit Saturday afternoon. An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the al-Hamam neighborhood of Hit at 1pm Saturday, local time, witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam. The blast destroyed a Humvee and killed two US troops and wounded two more. A member of the puppet so-called "Iraqi national guard" who had been transferred in from Baghdad said that the two men who were killed and the two who were wounded were US Marines. He said that one of the wounded men was in serious condition. Ar-Ramadi. Resistance attack kills four US troops, captures one more near ar-Ramadi Saturday evening. In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Mecca time Saturday evening, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in ar-Ramadi reported that a short while before Iraqi Resistance fighters had launched a rocket attack at a US patrol made up of three Humvees in the as-Siramik neighborhood west of ar-Ramadi. Eyewitnesses reported that the attack, which took place at the western entrance to the city, destroyed a Humvee and left four US troops dead. A fifth American was taken prisoner by the Resistance fighters after the Humvee was destroyed and four others killed. The fifth man tried in vain to catch up on his own with the rest of the US column that fled from the scene at high speed. Witnesses said that the there were 10 masked men in the Iraqi Resistance detachment that carried out the attack and that they were armed with pipe rockets and medium weight machine guns. Witnesses later saw the blindfolded American captive being driven away by the Resistance fighters as crowds proclaimed "Allahu Akbar!" ["God is greatest!"] local men and women, having gathered to view the aftermath of the attack. Al-Fallujah. Resistance mortar barrage destroys US command post near al-Fallujah. Iraqi Resistance forces in al-Fallujah fired 13 mortar rounds at a US command post located at the eastern approaches to al-Fallujah Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. A source in the local puppet police reported that the rocket attack occurred at 7pm Friday night local time. The barrage destroyed four Humvees and the command post itself, which was intended for use as a checkpoint, and left eight US troops dead and 11 more wounded in varying degrees. Tiktrit - Salah ad-Din Province. Resistance bomb hits US column near Bayji refinery. Iraqi Resistance forces detonated a bomb nest to a US column made up of several vehicles in the al-Ishaqi area north of Tikrit in Salah ad-Din Province, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. Eyewitnesses said that the blast destroyed an American tank and killed five US troops. They said that the bomb was planted by the side of the main road that US trucks use to carry raw fuels to the Bayji refinery. The blast struck a US column on one of its daily routine patrols, destroying a tank and killing the five troops who were aboard it. Baghdad. Iraqi Resistance blasts US column in ad-Durah. An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US military column on the highway in the Sukkaniya area of Baghdad's southern suburb of ad-Durah. The American column was transporting a number of Iraqi and other Arab prisoners in transports guarded by four Humvees and two Zil troop transports loaded with American soldiers who pointed their guns at onlookers out of fear that they might be attacked at any time. The bomb, nevertheless, took them by surprise, as it had been planted in a plastic gasoline container ostensibly for sale - a common site on that street which is frequently traveled by the US forces. The gasoline container was placed by the side of the road on the sidewalk near the street. It exploded as the American column was passing. Witnesses told the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam that the bomb did not go off as the first vehicle, carrying the prisoners, passed by, but exploded when the second vehicle was passing - a vehicle loaded with US troops. That fact indicated that the blast was set off by remote control. The witnesses reported that all those aboard the stricken US vehicle were killed or wounded. One passerby told the correspondent that there had been 13 US troops on the vehicle, of whom five were killed, and the rest seriously wounded - the force of the blast throwing them some distance through the air. After the attack, US troops arrested all the gasoline sellers on the street, even the children, claiming that they helped the bomber or at least knew who had planted the bomb. Resistance bomb hits US troops in al-Mahawil. An Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded in the path of a US military column made up of several vehicles as it passed through the city of al-Mahawil, 31km south of Baghdad and east of al-Hillah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that eyewitnesses said that the blast occurred in the Old ad-Dubbat neighborhood near the Greater Khadijah School at exactly 10am Saturday. The blast killed two US troops and wounded two more, the correspondent reported. Local witnesses told the correspondent that the bomb had been planted by the side of the road and exploded by the US column, destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding the US troops. The correspondent wrote that when he arrived on the scene of the blast US forces were trying to haul away the wreckage of the vehicle and were preventing journalists from taking pictures. Ireland offers to help train officers in Iraqi puppet police. As part of the European community's effort to improve relations with its hegemon in Washington, the Republic of Ireland announced that it will offer to train Iraqi puppet police officers for the American occupation of Iraq. The Irish Independent newspaper reported the move on Saturday, a first for the Dublin regime which has so far only provided financial help to the US occupation. Samarra'. Martyrdom attacker blows up motorcycle bomb next to US column in Samarra'. An Iraqi Resistance martyrdom fighter blew up an explosives-laden motorcycle, killing nine US troops in Samarra', north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Samarra' reported eyewitnesses as saying that the martyrdim fighter blew up the motorcycle by a US foot patrol at 4:30am on Saturday. The US patrol was in the area of the citadel in the north of Samarra' headed into the city. The witnesses said that four US troops were wounded in the attack, one of them, he said, mortally. The Salafi Squadrons of the 'Ibad ar-Rahman announced their responsibility for the attack, saying that the martyrdom fighter who carried it out was one of their young men from the Arabian Peninsula. Ba'qubah - Diyala Province. Entire US column reported wiped out in ambush near Iranian border. A US military column was completely wiped out in fierce fighting with Resistance forces according to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the town of al-Mundhiriyah, near the Iranian border, east of Ba'qubah. The correspondent, who was at the scene of the battle, wrote that a US column made up of eight vehicles came under Iraqi Resistance attack in the Jalabiyah area, known as the at-Tilal or hilly area, at 10pm Friday night. The Resistance fighters holed up in strongholds in the hills unleashed a sweeping attack on the US column, using missiles, pipe rockets, bazookas, and land mines that they had planted in the path of the American forces before their arrival. Four US tanks, three Humvees, and one armored vehicle were destroyed in the fighting that lasted two hours, the correspondent reported. He said that US dead were in excess of 60 men. An adjutant commander of the Iraqi border guards confirmed that the entire US column was wiped out. The correspondent wrote that the smell of blood and burning flesh pervaded the smoldering wreckage of the US vehicles and all the other remains of the large column. US helicopters arrived on the scene 20 minutes after the battle and began revenge attacks on the local people. The US aircraft rocketed four houses, killing 19 Iraqi civilians, including 11 women and children, according to the account of al-Mundhiriyah General Hospital. The Squadrons of Abu Dajjanah al-Ansari announced its responsibility for the attack that it called "the Battle of 'Khaybar is Ruined'." When the correspondent filed his report posted at 11:10am Saturday morning Mecca time, US forces had imposed curfew on al-Mundhiriyah since the early hours of the morning. The Americans arrested the local puppet police commander, charging him with helping what they referred to as "terrorists" - meaning the Iraqi Resistance. They have also prevented journalists from coming from the Provincial capital Ba'qubah to al-Mundhiriyah. Resistance car bomb kills seven US troops east of Ba'qubah. An Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded at a US inspection barrier east of Ba'qubah on the road leading to al-Khalis at 11am Saturday morning, local time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that a Resistance martyrdom fighter slammed his car into a US inspection barrier, killing seven US troops and wounding more than four more of them, including one high-ranking officer. A source in the fire department also told the correspondent that the attack killed seven US troops and wounded four more. Resistance car bomb kills puppet guardsman. In a dispatch posted at 9am Saturday morning Mecca time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while previously an official in the puppet so-called "Iraqi national guard" announced that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded, killing a member of the puppet guard and "civilian" in Ba'qubah, north of Baghdad. Reuters reported that the blast took place at the puppet guard headquarters in Ba'qubah. An-Nasiriyah - Dhi Qar Province. Resistance sharpshooter kills Italian soldier in an-Nasiriyah. An Iraqi Resistance sharp shooter shot and killed an Italian occupation soldier in the southern Iraqi city of an-Nasiriyah, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the city reported that the Italian soldier was standing in the midst of al-A'immah Street in the west of the city when he was struck by the Resistance sharpshooter's bullet. After the attack, Italian troops surrounded the area and began a four-hour search for the attacker in surrounding areas. As-Samawah - al-Muthanna Province. Resistance pounds Japanese occupation troops with rocket barrage. Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven Grad rockets into the Japanese occupation troops' base in the southern Iraqi city of as-Samawah at about 7am Saturday, local time Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The correspondent, who witnessed the attack along with local towns people said that thick clouds of smoke rose over the Japanese base and four powerful secondary explosions went off inside the facility after the attack.
