Wildlife Faces Cancer Threat Many species living within polluted aquatic environments suffer high rates of cancerous tumors, and studies strongly suggest links between wildlife cancers and human pollutants.  For example, the study cites the case of beluga whales in the St. Lawrence River system. These whales have an extraordinarily high rate of intestinal cancer, which is their second leading cause of death. One type of pollutant in these waters—polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (or PAHs)—is a well-known carcinogen in humans, and PAHs are suspected carcinogens for beluga whales as well. Fish in other industrialized waterways, including brown bullhead catfish and English sole, also exhibit high levels of cancer.

Various engravings were uncovered in the cave, including cross markings, and it is assumed that this could have been an early monastery.

Obama's Incredible Record Of Betrayal I've lost count of how many times Barack Obama has claimed he was going to change the way Washington does business, how he was going to cut off the role of the big corporate lobbyists, stop government use of secrecy to cover for illegal actions, make government more accountable and transparent, stop corruption, and end cronyism. The record indicates that all these are part of the Big Lie--a concerted effort to deceive his own followers and the nation. Only the establishment media is silent about this growing dichotomy. None of the White House press corps dares question him in public about his backtracking.

ARK OF THE COVENANT TO BE UNVEILED TODAY SAYS PATRIARCH An Ethiopian church leader says Friday, June 26, marks the right time to unveil the Biblical Ark of the Covenant, which he says has been hidden in his church for centuries. Abuna Pauolos, Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, was in Rome this week to meet with Pope Benedict XVI. While there, he told reporters that the time had come to reveal before the world the Holy Ark. Paulous said he would make the full announcement this Friday, June 26, 2 PM local time (3 PM Israel time, 8 AM New York time) at a press conference in Rome. The claim that the Biblical Holy Ark has been kept at the Church, in the city of Axum, is an old one, but this is the first time that the Church plans to actually reveal the actual container, or news of it. It is not known whether the Church claims that the actual Tablets of the Law are inside it.

China Decision to Buy $80 Billion of Gold, the Dragon's Hoard First, it used to be that the threat  of central bank gold sales would damage market sentiment. Now the threat of significant sales has been met with the threat of significant purchases. Though the dragon hoard depicted by our good friend, Ed Stein is not yet a reality, China can back its desire to own gold with plenty of cold hard cash. At nearly $1.4 trillion in dollar-based assets, and almost $2 trillion in total reserves, $80 billion would consume a paltry 6% of China's dollar reserves. At the same time 2600 tonnes translates to roughly one-third the U.S. gold reserve -- a significant ambition by any measure. To give you an inkling of how this new synergy might work, when the International Monetary Fund announced recently it would like to sell about 400 tonnes of gold, China joined India in publicly pressing the IMF to sell its entire 3200 tonne hoard. On that news the gold market, which had been in a slow slide as a result of the IMF's announcement, turned and took another run at the $1000 mark.

Obama Defends Expansion Of Fed Powers President Obama defended his recent decision to give the Federal Reserve expanded oversight powers over the nation's biggest financial institutions, during an exclusive interview with CBS' The Early Show. "The Fed has the expertise and the credibility, I think, to do it," the president said. (seems that this was a decision that 'more people' should have had input and been voted on, instead of just one person....what do you think?)

Pricing Nature to Save It What's a bog worth? For anyone who has ever paddled a canoe or caught frogs in a pond, assigning a dollar amount to nature may seem, well, unnatural. Then again, there will always be those who look at a bog and see a muddy spot on the map ripe for turning, literally, a concrete profit.

EVERY "LAW" OBAMA SIGNS BRINGS US CLOSER TO...

Obama Closes Doors on Openness As a senator, Barack Obama denounced the Bush administration for holding "secret energy meetings" with oil executives at the White House. But last week public-interest groups were dismayed when his own administration rejected a Freedom of Information Act request for Secret Service logs showing the identities of coal executives who had visited the White House to discuss Obama's "clean coal" policies. One reason: the disclosure of such records might impinge on privileged "presidential communications." The refusal, approved by White House counsel Greg Craig's office, is the latest in a series of cases in which Obama officials have opted against public disclosure. Since Obama pledged on his first day in office to usher in a "new era" of openness, "nothing has changed," says David -Sobel, a lawyer who litigates FOIA cases. "For a president who said he was going to bring unprecedented transparency to government, you would certainly expect more than the recycling of old Bush secrecy policies."

Senate questions Obama's financial oversight plan President Barack Obama's plan to increase oversight of banks and other financial institutions met with skepticism on Capitol Hill on Thursday, where senators sharply questioned whether it was enough to prevent another economic meltdown. The lack of a ringing endorsement suggests the proposal was headed for a rewrite by a Congress sensitive to voter frustration with the government's handling of the economy."They're very angry, and they are worried. And they are wondering who's looking out for them," Sen. Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, said of his constituents.

In some cases, this problem goes far beyond "garbage" into another realm entirely. This video is a rare glimpse behind-the-scenes of how news is really "made" in America and why corporate and "public" broadcasting - like corporate food - is entirely unreliable.

Obama’s Americorps scandal — and the First Lady’s meddling. President Obama is hoping you won’t notice his abrupt change of inspectors general over at Americorps, the government-run, taxpayer-subsidized “community service” boondoggle (which Republicans helped expand as part of the $6 billion GIVE/SERVE Act in March despite its wasteful track record. Saudi 'Killer Chip' Implant Would Track, Eliminate Undesirables It could be the ultimate in political control — but it won't be patented in Germany.German media outlets reported last week that a Saudi inventor's application to patent a "killer chip," as the Swiss tabloids put it, had been denied. The basic model would consist of a tiny GPS transceiver placed in a capsule and inserted under a person's skin, so that authorities could track him easily.Model B would have an extra function — a dose of cyanide to remotely kill the wearer without muss or fuss if authorities deemed he'd become a public threat. The inventor said the chip could be used to track terrorists, criminals, fugitives, illegal immigrants, political dissidents, domestic servants and foreigners overstaying their visas.

Makow: "Mommy, Why Do People Want to Kill Jews?" This is the title of a blog on Huffington Post by Danielle Crittenden, (Mrs. David Frum,) on the shooting yesterday at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC.
IT'S NOT TRUE
People don't want to kill Jews. Even in Germany, anti-Semitism (and the Nazi Party) had to be organized and financed by the Wehrmacht. Most people know the difference between ordinary Jews and the elite Jews and non-Jews ( i.e. globalists) responsible for the world's woes.

James von Brunn charged in Holocaust Museum shooting Reporting from Washington -- A self-described anti-Semitic ideologue was charged with murder Thursday in the shooting death of a black security guard at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, as authorities provided new details of the allegedly unprovoked attack and the suspect's troubled life on society's right-wing extremist fringe.
James Wenneker von Brunn, 88, double-parked his 2002 Red Hyundai outside the crowded tourist attraction at lunchtime Wednesday and was approaching the entrance when security guard Stephen Tyrone Johns "was kind enough to open the door" for him, apparently in the belief that the elderly man wanted to visit the museum, Washington Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier said.Von Brunn raised a 22-caliber rifle that he had been carrying at his side, aimed it at Jones and fired once, hitting him in the left upper chest and mortally wounding him, according to an affidavit filed in federal court by FBI Agent Ronald Farnsworth.

Supervolcano may be brewing beneath Mount St Helens IS A supervolcano brewing beneath Mount St Helens? Peering under the volcano has revealed what may be an extraordinarily large zone of semi-molten rock, which would be capable of feeding a giant eruption. If the structure beneath the three volcanoes is indeed a vast bubble of partially molten rock, it would be comparable in size to the biggest magma chambers ever discovered, such as the one below Yellowstone National Park.

National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09) is scheduled for July 27 through July 31, 2009. NLE 09 will be the first major exercise conducted by the United States government that will focus exclusively on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery.

NLE 09 is designated as a Tier I National Level Exercise. Tier I exercises (formerly known as the Top Officials exercise series or TOPOFF) are conducted annually in accordance with the National Exercise Program (NEP), which serves as the nation's overarching exercise program for planning, organizing, conducting and evaluating national level exercises. The NEP was established to provide the U.S. government, at all levels, exercise opportunities to prepare for catastrophic crises ranging from terrorism to natural disasters.

NLE 09 is a White House directed, Congressionally- mandated exercise that includes the participation of all appropriate federal department and agency senior officials, their deputies, staff and key operational elements.  In addition, broad regional participation of state, tribal, local, and private sector is anticipated.  This year the United States welcomes the participation of Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom in NLE 09

BREAKING NEWS! Gunman, guards exchange fire in Holocaust Museum

A gunman exchanged fire with security guards inside the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Wednesday.

It said the high court's groundbreaking decision last term in a case from Washington, D.C., allows the Second Amendment to cover only regulations by the federal government — at least until the high court weighs in again.

A Governor and His Veto Pen 'Minnesota nice" comes in two forms: the first, gracious hospitality; the second, smiling stubbornness. Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty this week delivered his spendthrift legislature a humiliating taste of the latter. You betcha.Upon receiving the last spending bill, he announced that he would exercise the power of "unallotment," which has been on the books since 1939 and which has been used four times. Under it, the governor is allowed to "unallot" (take away) any state spending for which there is no money to pay. Panicked, the DFL passed tax legislation to cover its blowout spending bills, 10 minutes before the session's end. Too late. The governor said he'd veto the bill and would not be calling back the legislature to do any more mischief.(now we like him!...there's a man with common sense....he might have read 'checkbook 101'

Income tax reality check vid A little history People complain about taxes, but rarely think about the US tax system and how it came into being.
The Federal Reserve, the draft, Wall Street (as we know it today), modern PR and the IRS were all created around the same time and for the same purpose. To railroad the US population into supporting the British Empire during World War I. World War I was between two imperial powers - Germany and England. The US had no reason whatsoever to be involved in it, thus the need for ambitious social engineering. Since World War I, the system put in place has made your money - and your life - the property of the federal government and whoever can manipulate it. At least, that's how they look at it.
This speaker, a Native American, gets it. Subject: Brasscheck TV: The real meaning of the income tax People often complain about taxes, but
they rarely think about what they mean. Taxes do a lot more than reduce your standard of living. They are a peerless instrument for taking away your freedom.

Tennessee Strikes Again – New Gun Law

Executive Summary – The Tennessee Governor signed a new gun law. This law says that people who have guns lawfully cannot have them taken away just because martial rule has been declared. This was a response to what happened in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina when the authorities went door to door confiscating guns.

The gun confiscation in New Orleans was probably just a test by the fed to see what the reaction was. It is the goal of the federal government to confiscate all privately owned guns as soon a possible. The states standing up to them with states rights laws may be a good thing. Freedom is something that one had best be ready to pay for with a lot more than just having elected representatives pass favorable laws. The federal government has been ignoring the constitution and laws domestic and international on all levels for decades.

Just because states are passing some bills do not think the fed is going to be respective of their rights. We do know the federal government is very fast to take lives to have their way; they are in two wars today. I wonder how determined the states are to be free. Note I did not say remain free.(This comment from originator of e-mail...unknown)

American capitalism gone with a whimper It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people. True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists. Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters. First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish. Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

Large brothel for gay pedophiles found in St. Petersburg The police of St. Petersburg finally closed the largest brothel for pedophiles in the city. The owner of the brothel, pensioner Vadim Ilyukhanov, was known as Cobra. The man was nicknamed so during the 1990s because of his terrible eyesight: he was wearing glasses with thick lenses. Ilyukhanov would find boys of 10 or 12 years of age on a market place nearby or at penitentiary institutions. About 25 children attended Cobra’s 60th birthday on June 6, 2006 to participate in a major orgy.
