Quayle’s son:
Obama is the ‘worst president
in history’ Is President
Obama the "worst president in
history"? That's what the son
of former Vice President Dan Quayle
claims in a new
TV ad aimed at boosting his congressional
bid in Arizona.
This has to be the
best quote of the year

"As an American
I am not so shocked that Obama was
given the Nobel Peace Prize without
any accomplishments to his name;
America gave him the White House
based on the same credentials."

The
Elite Turn Against Obama
NEW YORK – Even
the Aspen Ideas Festival, an annual
gathering of the country's brightest
lights, isn't Obama country anymore.
Lloyd Grove on the president's
waning support among the intelligentsia.
You’d think the well-heeled
and enlightened eggheads at the Aspen
Ideas Festival—which is running
all week in this fashionable resort
town with heady panel discussions
and earnest disquisitions involving
all manner of deep thinkers and do-gooders—would
be receptive to an intellectually
ambitious president with big ideas
of his own.
In a way, the folks attending this
cerebral conclave pairing the Aspen
Institute think tank with the Atlantic
Monthly magazine might even be seen
as President Obama’s natural
base.
Apparently not so much.

King
accept resignation of government BRUSSELS – Belgium
King Albert II accepted
the government's resignation Monday
after negotiations failed to resolve
a long-simmering dispute between
Dutch- and French-speaking politicians
over a bilingual voting district
in and around Brussels,
the country's capital.
The king had waited since last week
to see if last-ditch talks could
keep the coalition
government of Prime
Minister Yves Leterme together.
But late Monday, it became clear
the differences between the linguistic
groups were too deep. Elections could
now be called in early June.

Meg
Whitman Campaign Ejects Reporters
For Asking Questions (VIDEO) Former
eBay CEO Meg Whitman, a candidate for
the Republican nomination for governor
of California, had
an awkward encounter with the press Tuesday:
Inviting reporters to an appearance
she was making at a railroad facility,
then not letting them ask any questions,
and finally having security escort
the media out after they persisted.
After the press were sent out, Whitman's
security then put up shades to block
the view of the room, so that pictures
could not be taken. (huh?....she
invited them and then sent them out?.......don't
get it!)

Tea
Partiers Meet to Rally for
the Future
Nearly 600 conservative activists,
members of the new and growing Tea
Party, have come together in
Nashville, Tenn., for the first
ever National Tea Party Convention.
Many say they are angry at all
politicians, Democrats and Republicans
alike, and are here to network
and plan for the future.
Tea Party Is Seen by Majority
of Voters As a Serious and Not
a Fringe Group
The Tea Party movement, which right
now is holding its first
national convention in Nashville,
is regarded as a serious and not
a fringe group by a majority of
Americans, according to a Fox
News/Opinion Dynamics poll conducted
Feb. 2-3. It is seen favorably
by 35 percent of voters and unfavorably
by 22 percent, But a plurality
were unable to offer a positive
or negative opinion because they

of it. |

The
stunning decline of Barack Obama: 10
key reasons why the Obama presidency
is in meltdown
The last few weeks have been a nightmare
for President Obama, in a summer
of discontent in the United States
which has deeply unsettled the ruling
liberal elites, so much so that even
the Left has begun to turn against
the White House. While the anti-establishment
Tea Party movement has gained significant
ground and is now a rising and powerful
political force to be reckoned with,
many of the president’s own
supporters as well as independents
are rapidly losing faith in Barack
Obama, with open
warfare breaking out between
the White House and the left-wing
of the Democratic Party. While conservatism
in America grows stronger by the
day, the forces of liberalism are
growing increasingly weaker and divided.

Beware
of "Small Men" and Their Little
Raids! Article by WorldNews.com
Correspondent Dallas
Darling.
When the Gulf Daily News and The
Raw Story reported what the world
already knows, and what it is dreadfully
anticipating and hoping will at last
be avoided, mainly that Israel is
amassing warplanes in the Caucasus
region(1), and that U.S. carriers
and warships are gathering off the
coast of Iran in the Indian Ocean
for an attack against Iran's nuclear
power facilities(2); it reminded
me of what Alan Axelrod wrote in
his book "Profiles In Folly,
History's Worst Decisions And Why
They Went Wrong."...the whole
article at the link...(example of
what 'we do' or allow our leaders/miliary,
etc to do and destroys other cultures.)
In a chapter titled "Governor
Willem Kieft and the 'Slaughter of
the Innocents,'" Axelrod warns
about the follies of "small
men" whom are given the power
of life and death. What he means
is that small men who become leaders
are possessed of visions too limited
to see beyond the labor required
to fashion lives of peace and prosperity.
Instead, they see only immediate
and self-serving solutions of dealing
out death and destruction to those
thought to be rivals. For these small
men, all that is visible, both ahead
and behind, is blood.(3)

"The
Bonus Army" EyeWitness
to History
(A shameful time in our history in
our treatment of veterans, who fought
and died for us!..has it changed much?...the
whole story at the link) In 1924, a
grateful Congress voted to give a bonus
to World War I veterans - $1.25 for
each day served overseas, $1.00 for
each day served in the States. The
catch was that payment would not be
made until 1945.
However, by 1932 the nation had slipped
into the dark days of the Depression
and the unemployed veterans wanted
their money immediately.
In May of that year, some 15,000
veterans, many unemployed and destitute,
descended on Washington, D.C. to
demand immediate payment of their
bonus. They proclaimed themselves
the Bonus Expeditionary Force but
the public dubbed them the "Bonus
Army." Raising ramshackle camps
at various places around the city,
they waited. ......the rest at the
